Avrill Stark
Avrill is the CEO/Executive Producer and creative driver of A Stark Production (ASP), a highly acclaimed entertainment company with a focus on the creation, development and production of Children’s Film and television content.
Avrill founded the company 20 years ago after taking advice from Sebastian – her much loved teddy bear - who has inspired her as the creative producer/EP of many productions including the global hit animated series The Deep, with 4 seasons airing across 130 countries, together with numerous international co-productions including, Zigby; Zekes Pad; the adventure series Enyo; two seasons of the hilarious Erky Perky; the Woodlies; the Pop Pups and many more.
Winner of numerous global awards - the theatrical feature film, Santa’s Apprentice winning the prestigious UNICEF Award at Annecy for best animated feature. The Deep is the winner of the International Kids Screen Award for best new Children’s Television Series; winner of the Golden Sparrow Award, AWGIE awards, Screen Music awards and was nominated for both BAFTA and AACTA awards. The live action family feature film, H is For Happiness, was awarded Best Film at the CinefestOz 2019 Film Festival.
Mandy Mackintosh
Senior Producer
With a fun-loving approach to life and a passion for spreadsheets, Mandy has spent the last 20 years as a leading animation producer.
Her working relationship with Avrill began over 2 decades ago, recently sharing the success of 4 seasons of The Deep.
Her career has encompassed a broad range of productions, including broadcast packages, TV commercials, animated TV series such as Erky Perky and Dive Olly Dive as well as feature film, Peter Cottontail. As a Consultant Producer her credits include the adventure series, The Woodlies and the animated Tashi series. Her role as Head of Production at Bii, saw her lead the ground breaking interactive animated series, Superman for DC Comics.
With A Stark Production, Mandy now oversees a diverse development slate and heads up all series production pipelines.
Avrill and Mandy make a formidable team when it comes to creating great shows, a fun dynamic and most of all shaping great teams.
